Cely’s House
Brief: Cely's House offers craft workshops, retreats and children's programs. Cely wanted a very visual site with earth tones and simple, easy to use horizontal navigation. She wanted to highlight many of the craft experiences via pictures of her camps. Bright color accents were everywhere in her camps and she wanted to include color within the site.
Design: Using earthen pottery as her central theme, the site concentrated on portraying an atmosphere of fun, crafts and colorful artwork. The page content was the focus for information about her camps and workshops. Each page includes a triangle of bright color squares with pictures to highlight the workshop experience. This site uses a standards based CSS driven design to gear toward usability and accessibility.
